What is Natta doing to Help?

We actively engage in several initiatives to help the environment, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices. These initiatives include:

Sustainable Construction Practices: we integrate environmentally responsible practices into our construction processes. This includes using sustainable materials, reducing waste, and implementing energy-efficient methods in our projects. We proudly hold the ISO 14001 (Environmental Systems Standard) accreditation.

Recycling and Waste Management: Natta prioritises recycling and proper waste management. Using crushers and 3-way screeners on our construction sites we minimise waste generation. We recycle hardcore and broken-out concrete into site aggregate to be reused to reduce our environmental footprint. Recently we introduced a ‘Material Surplus System’ app. The app allows us to track excess materials and allocate them to other sites; reducing wastage, cost and our carbon footprint as we eliminate unnecessary ordering and material deliveries.

Energy Efficiency: we focus on enhancing energy efficiency in our projects. This involves using energy-efficient systems and technologies such as utilising Trimble on our excavators and green energy solutions like our PV Solar/Battery Storage systems for our welfare facilities and buying our first fleet of electric vans to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Biodiversity and Habitat Protection: we are committed to protecting local biodiversity and habitats. This includes careful site planning to minimise environmental disruption and implementing measures to protect and restore natural habitats.

Community Engagement: we engage with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and charities like the British Bee Charity to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices. By participating in community projects, we help educational initiatives to encourage broader environmental stewardship.

Through our efforts, we continue to adopt a proactive approach to environmental sustainability. We strive to make a positive impact on the planet while continuing to deliver high-quality construction services.
