Natta’s Legacy – Natta pledges to give back to the communities where we build

Working with the local community at the sites where we work is always high on our agenda. Any construction project will impact the local area and Natta supports any initiatives to give something back to the community. Keen to further our cause to support charities, local initiatives and communities where we work, every year we donate our time and resources to undertake a community-building project near a project that we are working on. Where possible, local labour will be employed and local materials sourced.

Communities that we have supported

Natta constructed a new helipad free of charge for EHAAT and Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital. Patients taken to Basildon Hospital by Essex & Herts Air Ambulance now arrive via a specially-constructed helipad at Basildon Golf Club.

In 2020, we built new patios and pathways at the LVD Church in Langley Green to improve the access to the church for their community. As well as this, we have completed the build of a new ‘Wildlife’ garden, and more recently in 2023, a ‘Well-being’ garden at Woking and Sam Beare Hospice.

We also supported the 1st Chertsey Scout Group with drainage works in Longcross where we were working as principal contractor on a project for our client, Crest Nicholson.

We built of a new footpath for residents at Shipley Bridge Lane in Copthorne in March 2021. The works also included resurfacing the driveways and laybys and installing edgings.

Recent Social Value projects

Our most recent project in 2025 was for Moss Lane School in Godalming. Team Natta provided both the labour and materials to refurbish the school’s allotment, transforming it into a vibrant outdoor learning space for the children to enjoy for years to come. Natta recently completed the full design and build of a new 52–unit Extra Care Living Scheme for Birchgrove Life.

2023 involved the building of a new Well-being Garden for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice. All materials and labour were generously provided by Natta. The day involved various manual tasks to bring the well-being garden to life. The garden will serve as a tranquil and relaxing space for staff to enjoy all year round. Previously we also developed two gardens, including a Japanese Garden for the charity to transform the originally overgrown space into a calm and peaceful area for hospice staff. We recently worked nearby for LifeBuild Solutions undertaking the groundworks for a new 88-unit housing development called Canalside.

Also based in Woking is the British Bee Charity. Natta donated this charity funds to go towards the cost of a new apiary shed for the bees. In 2022, Natta renovated the existing space at their apiary by donating and installing an office container which is worth over £3,000. We also painted the container to give it a makeover to transform its appearance. This new addition has provided a much-needed office space for them. They are using it for their Bee Keepers, school visits, and training sessions; improving their educational promise to the local community.

We support any involvement with The Considerate Constructors Scheme. A designated team is available to help with any project registered with the Scheme.
