OVERVIEW

Natta has been awarded a new contract at Bicester Village, acting as Main Contractor for Value Retail. The project forms part of ongoing improvements to the village and its surrounding infrastructure, aimed at enhancing access, capability, and quality. The development involves a combination of transport infrastructure works and highway alterations.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The scope of work includes the construction of a new gravel car park, together with vehicular and pedestrian bridges to improve movement and connectivity across the site. In addition, the project involves the creation of a new public park to the north of the development. This will provide an enhanced amenity space and integrate landscaping with the wider site layout.

Work also includes adjustments to Pringle Drive, incorporating carriageway level changes and the relocation of an existing crossing. A key component of the scheme is a Section 278 highways package, featuring the reconfiguration of the Oxford Road roundabout, the installation of a new toucan crossing, and a range of associated highway works. These improvements are designed to enhance traffic flow, pedestrian and cyclist safety, and general network efficiency in the area.

Overall, the project demonstrates Natta’s capability to deliver infrastructure, highways, and public realm works in a live operational setting, supporting both transport improvements and high-quality placemaking.
