Geo-Environmental Contracting

Geo-Environmental Division

With over 50 years of Groundworks and Civil Engineering experience, Natta has encountered and managed many conditions across UK soils, using remediation where necessary to deliver construction on time.

Natta Geo-Environmental Contracting is a new division that is part of the Natta Group of Companies. Formed to market our offering to the industry with a stronger cohesive approach.

Our pre-commencement offering delivers a one-stop-shop solution for Clients, reducing lead times and helping to value engineer the project. Our capability and collaborative approach, provide a full service from the inception of the project through to project completion.

Within the team, we link together specialist pre-construction knowledge, advice and delivery together with innovative solutions for challenging ground conditions. The services are available either individually or as part of an overall package of turnkey delivery.

We are at our most effective when we work with our clients at the earliest stages of a project’s development.

Our turnkey capabilities include:

Site Investigations and Reporting
We carry out intensive site investigations and soil testing. We will provide detailed reports with solutions that will enable the cost-effective delivery of projects.

Structural and Drainage Design
Our in-house team can provide a full technical design for foundations, retaining structures, drainage, roads and the like. We can provide this early in the development process, to assist in planning applications or to deal with planning pre-commencement conditions. We carry £10 million PI insurance to protect our clients.

3D Earthworks Modelling
With the high cost of the offsite disposal of surplus soil especially those with contamination in them, accurate ground modelling can reduce development costs. With our civil engineering knowledge, we can feed in an allowance for drainage, services and foundation arising which we can often underestimate and can lead to budget overruns later in a project.

Site Clearance and Demolition
We can undertake demolition removal of hardstandings and foundations as a single package. With our own fleet of privately owned heavy plant, we can facilitate speedy delivery.

Contamination and Remediation
We have many decades of experience in dealing with brownfield sites. On any project, we can both identify what contamination exists together with the most cost-effective and environmentally beneficial solution for the scheme. We can also implement most types of remediation with our own equipment and operatives. We hold an ‘Environmental Treatment Permit’, which allows us to treat soils and groundwater in-house.

Soil Stabilisation
We have an in-house soil stabilisation team that can undertake ground stabilisation with lime or cement. This enables greater retention of on-site material without lessening performance.

Japanese Knotweed
Our extensive experience in dealing with Japanese knotweed can be called upon. We have specialist knowledge to find a solution for any scheme.

Drainage Camera Surveys
We have two permanent CCTV teams that can investigate and report on both pre-existing and newly installed drainage.

Licensing/Traffic Management/Permits
Our technical team are well versed in dealing with local authorities and statutory bodies, where permits are required for drainage connections, lane closures, service diversions, building control and planning condition sign-off.

Added Value:

For all of the services offered by Geo-Environmental, you benefit from the backing and accrued knowledge of the whole Natta Group. We are happy to spend the time with clients in the pre-construction phase to allow a faster delivery once the scheme starts. By using a single source for pre-and post-construction, many advantages in information transfer, value engineering and joined thinking are produced which save both time and money.
