Job Description

Installation, testing and commissioning 1,300m of new potable water mains and 303 services to domestic properties across 2 phases.

Scope of Works:

Natta Utilities were contracted to carry out the installation and commissioning of new water mains for Phase 2 and the installation of services for Phases 1 and 2 of the new Copthorne site.

Both phases are being constructed at the same time.

In phase 1 of the project, South East Water was already contracted to install the new water mains. We were then responsible for both the mains and service installation and commissioning in Phase 2. With both phases, we have liaised closely with South East Water and the client to ensure the new mains were installed and commissioned when required in order to meet the building programme.

Once the new mains were commissioned, by Clancy Docwra for Phase 1 and by Natta for Phase 2, we were able to then install the new services.

Successes

We managed to build a very good rapport with South East Water and Clancy Docwra in a short period of time. As a result, we were able to install the temporary building supply for the sales office on very short notice.

Natta Utilities were also able to have the South East Water design modified to reduce costs and improve its build out. As Natta Building Company were the groundworker on site, Natta Utilities were able to use our project manager as the single point of connection for the client. We, therefore, provided a seamless build out of the water networks with both divisions working closely with each other to ensure the works were delivered smoothly and without delay.
