b'Page 3Natta Work Experience Placements From July to September, we had the pleasure of welcoming several students for work placement experience at our projects. Firstly, we had two students from a Secondary School in Surrey join us at our Copthorne site. For a week, they experienced hands-on insight on a live construction site. They shadowed our team, learning about site safety and the various roles that help bring a project to life. They even got a chance to use an EDM, including the EDM controller. Their curiosity and eagerness to learn was fantastic to see throughout their engagement with our team. We hope this experience sparked some inspiration for future careers in the industry. Our four work experience students across our Manydown and Sittingbourne sites. In August, we were also joined by Ethan, a second-year Civil Engineering student from the University of South Florida. At our Sittingbourne Care Home project, he immersed himself in the day-to-day siteoperations. He commented: The experience there was great, and I was able to gain more knowledge in my studying field. The whole team, especially Mark and Paola, were very helpful as instructors and made theexperience more enjoyable overall. Looking forward to seeing how the project comes along in the future! Lastly, we had the welcomed Thehan Perera, from The Farnborough Sixth Form College, to spend a week in September at our Manydown project. He worked really well with the team and helped them set out haul road and fence lines using GPS. He also learned how to calculate stockpile volumes, and use AutoCAD for technical drawings.Urban & Civic 5-Star Health & Safety AwardTeam Natta were honoured to receive the 5-star Health and Safety Award from our client, Urban & Civic, at our Manydown, Basingstoke project!
