OVERVIEW

Natta has been appointed as the Main Contractor for our client, Mersea Homes Ltd, delivering key S278 infrastructure works as part of the wider Fiveways Fruit Farm development. The project involves the construction of a new four-arm roundabout at the Fiveways junction. As well as this, we will be extending the spine road to support access and future phases of the development.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Natta’s scope includes the construction of the new Section 278 roundabout works, associated highway improvements, and the extension of the development’s spine road. This covers surfacing works on the southern approaches to the new roundabout, marking an important milestone within the programme.

Further works on site include the installation of street lighting and the construction of new footpaths. Alongside this, the utilities contractor is undertaking the required service diversions to facilitate completion of the roundabout works. Our scope also includes the installation of foul and storm drainage systems, providing the essential infrastructure required to support the wider development.

Sustainability is also an important focus of this project. Our site compound has been set up using Solar PV, Battery Storage, and wind turbine systems to power the welfare facilities, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources and supporting Natta’s ongoing commitment to sustainable construction practices.

Overall, the Stanway project demonstrates Natta’s capability in delivering complex S278 infrastructure works, combining highway construction, drainage installation, utility coordination, and sustainable site solutions to support major residential developments.
