OVERVIEW

Natta was appointed to deliver a new Section 278 junction as part of the enabling infrastructure required for a new residential development on behalf of Hills Residential Construction Limited. The junction forms a key access point into the development and represents an essential early phase of works, consequently ensuring that future construction and occupation can take place safely and efficiently.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Natta undertook the full scope of the S278 construction works. These works were delivered through a carefully planned and phased programme, designed to maintain traffic flow, minimise disruption to road users and ensure the surrounding community continued to travel safely during construction.

In addition to the carriageway works, Natta was responsible for the installation of surface water drainage systems to manage runoff and prevent flooding. To enhance safety and visibility, new street lighting columns were also installed along the reconfigured route to ensure compliance with highway standards.

Further elements of the project included the installation of highway signage, road markings and also the delivery of both hard and soft landscaping. These finishing touches were key to integrating the new junction seamlessly into the local environment as well as providing a high-quality visual and functional road.

This project demonstrates Natta’s capability in delivering complex highway works to stringent highway specifications, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and community impact. Therefore, Natta successfully delivered the infrastructure that will support the residential development and benefit the wider area.
