OVERVIEW

Natta was contracted by JCA to deliver the groundworks and civils element for a large, high-specification data centre campus located in Harlow for our client JCA. This facility forms part of a wider programme of advanced digital infrastructure development. Therefore, our involvement was critical in establishing the structural and servicing foundations required for the data centre’s specialist operational needs.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The scope of works on this project was a traditional groundworks package. As such, the contract consisted of roads, sewers, earthworks, pile mats, ground beams, service installations and hard landscaping. Furthermore, we delivered all works on a rapid programme and maintained our consistently high-quality standards throughout the development.

Initially, significant earthworks were undertaken to shape and stabilise the site, followed by the formation of pile mats and ground beams to support the structural frame of the data centre. Natta also installed the full suite of underground services, ensuring the building’s future mechanical and electrical systems could be integrated smoothly and efficiently.

The construction of roads and drainage networks formed another key element of the works, providing safe access routes and effective water management for the site. The scheme also included hard and soft landscaping, completed to an exceptionally high standard. Consequently, these finishing works enhanced the external environment, contributing to a refined and cohesive street scene that complements the wider development.

Overall, the project represents a highly successful collaboration, showcasing Natta’s ability to deliver complex groundworks and civils packages for critical facilities within demanding timeframes and to an excellent standard.
