Natta won a ‘Green Apple Award’ for the ‘Built Environment & Architectural Heritage’ in the international campaign to find the most environmentally friendly buildings in the world. Natta was nominated for the Building and Construction Companies category for Construction Material Recycling. We were presented with the Silver Green Apple Award at RADA, London, on Monday, 16 July. The judges commented, “Natta has invested in new screeners and crushers, together with soil stabilisation equipment, plant and machinery. They have been able to recycle 40,000 tonnes of material on site, which has led to 4,000 fewer lorry trips at the site, and less fuel consumption and carbon emissions.” As a result of this success, Natta has been invited to have the winning paper published in The Green Book. This is the leading international work of reference on environmental best practice. Others around the world can follow the examples and learn from these experiences.
