OVERVIEW

Natta was awarded four works packages as part of the ongoing redevelopment at Covent Garden, comprising the delivery of infrastructure for the development, concrete works, adaptation works to an existing multi-storey car park, and the removal of existing concrete hard standings, together with the construction of a new entrance Plaza. These works form an important part of the wider regeneration of New Covent Garden Plaza, enhancing access, usability, functionality, and the overall environment of the site.

The packages required careful planning and coordination to ensure that all elements were delivered efficiently and integrated successfully with the ongoing redevelopment programme.

SCOPE OF WORKS

All works packages were undertaken while the market remained fully operational, requiring careful coordination and close liaison with a wide range of stakeholders, including site operators and the client. The live working environment needed detailed planning to maintain safe access routes and minimise disruption to daily operations.

The nature of the site and the extended development programme involved managing multiple work fronts simultaneously, requiring a diverse range of technical skills and careful sequencing of activities. Works included the delivery of new infrastructure and the completion of structural concrete works, alongside the adaptation of the existing multi-storey car park. In addition, Natta ensured all works coordinated alongside the wider development to ensure seamless integration.

Natta is proud to have contributed to the ongoing transformation of New Covent Garden Plaza, reflecting the strong working relationship established with Vinci/St. Modwen.
