Natta Love Award Winners for September

Natta is pleased to announce the LOVE Award (Live Our Values Everyday) Winners for September 2023.

Firstly, David Vyse and Luke Butler received the Teamwork Award. Their colleague commented: “During Natta’s Wellness Week, David and Luke offered to wash cars at head office, to help raise money for Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, our mental health charity partner. Safe to say, they dressed well for the occasion!” Donna Cunningham also received this award. Her colleague said: “Donna is very helpful with her accounting, responds promptly and is always on hand to help with her extensive knowledge.”

The next award for Collaboration went to Andrei Alexa. At our Dunsfold project, the road space and two-way traffic lights permit needed to be extended to allow UKPN to complete the HV diversion. Although the extension needed was not caused by Natta, Andrei approached Surrey County Council and obtained the required permissions at short notice. This allowed the diversion to take place and allowed Natta to claim the costs for the works. Moreover, it was his knowledge and expertise that made sure he applied for all the relevant extensions.

Next, Jamie O’Leary received the Innovation Award. Jamie earned his nomination for consistently working hard and dedicating himself to project progress at our Angmering Care Home project. Furthermore, Jamie’s technical knowledge provided resolutions to multiple issues that would have otherwise delayed work. Next, Mike O’Keefe received the Innovation Award. Mike’s colleague commented: “Mike came up with the idea of how to hold up Terram inside trench shutters using magnets. Simple and brilliant!”

Finally, we awarded Nathan Ewing the Expertise Award. Nathan volunteered to supervise the S278 works that took place at Dunsfold. This included overseeing the surfacing contractors and our workforce, whilst carrying out his engineering tasks. Natta completed the works without any incidents and adhered to the closure times provided by Surrey County Council. The road was also cleared and reopened on schedule every morning. Natta effectively managed the works, and local residents and businesses have given positive feedback about how little disruption the closure caused to their daily routines.

Congratulations to all of the LOVE Award Winners for September 2023!
