b'Page 6Woking & Sam Beare Hospice Well-being Garden On Saturday 14th October, Natta were delighted to help Woking & Sam Beare Hospice (WSBH) build a new well-being garden. Previously we have developed two gardens, including a Japanese Garden for the charity.WSBH is one of our three nominated charities. All materials and labour were generously provided by Natta. The garden will serve as a tranquil and relaxing space for staff to enjoy all year round. Providing them with an open space where they can take a well-deserved break in the fresh air away from their desks. The day involved various manual tasks to bring the well-being garden to life. The team began with the removal of debris, we then levelled and compacted the type 1 base. Next, wooden sleepers were placed around the garden perimeter and filled with topsoil in preparation for planting the flowerbeds in the spring. White chipping stones were then distributed and compacted down. Once the foundations were complete, the wooden pergola was built and erected and the block paving was laid. We used a sleeper kerb to secure the block paving in place. This has provided a lovely centrepiece for the garden. Nattas Managing Director, John Whelan, commented: This is the third garden Natta has had the opportunity to build for the hospice. I was delighted to be personally involved and work as part of the team on thegarden. We all worked hard and turned it around in one day. We see first-hand the incredibly demanding work that the staff provide to the patients here, so we were delighted to give back and build them this relaxing outdoor space where they can have a break and unwind when needed.
