b'Natta Health & Safety News This months Health and Safety news is focusing on items commonly identified on our projects. In the last 3 months, the safety department has carried out 88 inspections with an average site score of 91.59%. This score is commendable. All of our site managers, supervisors and operatives should becongratulated on their input and commitment to providing a safer place to work. These are the top 5 observations found on our visits: 1.The use of plant nappies and drip trays on fuel driven plant and chemical storage. 2.Keys being found in unattended machines. 3.Seat belts not being worn, clipped in behind the operator or the seat belt itself being knotted (will result in being sent home). 4.Mandatory PPE not being worn or not being used correctly, including wearing hoodies under the safety helmets are banned from all Natta sites. 5.General housekeeping in and around the site, including tools being left laying around in the work area. Please return all equipment to stores or order tool boxes. Managers are reminded that communications with the operatives regarding these points are crucial, whether it be at the initial induction, weekly tool box talks or daily briefings. You can all influence the way in which your sites are scored. We strive to keep improving and these tests help us realise that there is always room for development.
