Breaking Ground Ceremony at Woodford Green Care Home

In April, we held a breaking ground ceremony for our new care home contract, Woodford Green Care Home. To mark this milestone, our project team came together with the client and project partners to celebrate the successful start of construction. Natta is excited to see further progress on site in the coming months. Well done to the project team for your continued hard work so far.

Natta has been appointed Main Contractor by our client, Morrison Community Care Group (MCCG), to deliver a three-storey, 120-bed care facility. The development includes temporary works, structural sequencing, and a reinforced concrete retained basement. Overall, this project represents an exciting step forward and strengthens our partnership with the client MCCG, as we deliver a high-quality, purpose-built care facility for the local community. We look forward to maintaining this fantastic partnership with the client.

Breaking Ground Ceremony

This event commemorates the start of construction on site. Traditionally, it involves key partners gathering on site to break the ground, often with a shovel. The ceremony represents momentum, commitment, and the transition from planning to delivery. It also highlights the collaboration between the client, contractor, and wider project team.

It often helps to build excitement and anticipation within the community for what will be delivered. In this case, the occasion serves as a collective celebration of the hard work already achieved.

Natta’s Scope of Work

Natta’s scope of works includes the demolition of existing buildings on site. Then followed by the construction of new foundations, the retained basement structure, and the superstructure above. As part of the wider infrastructure works. As well as this, we are carrying out the associated site infrastructure to support the care home operations.

Once complete, the care home will offer a range of facilities designed to support both resident well-being and day-to-day operations. These include private gardens, balcony terraces, and a selection of communal internal spaces such as a cinema, hair and beauty salon, and visitors’ cafe.
