Natta are pleased to announce the practical completion at The Hawthorns in Northampton; a 78-unit care facility for the Avery Healthcare Group.
The project involved the full design and build of a 7,637m² Independent Living Community, The Hawthorns based in Northampton. The building comprised of 61 Luxury Independent Living Apartments together with 17 care bedrooms, cafés, restaurants and lounges, a cinema, recreation bar, indoor bowls green, hair salon and therapy spa.
The site is on a slope, and as such the building incorporates a semi-basement with waterproof concrete retaining walls cut into the ground, with then a 400-tonne steel frame structure punching off large reinforced pads to both lower and upper ground levels.
The four-storey structure is clad in a mixture of brick, glass, render, copper cladding with a flat roof. Internally the structure utilises a structural framing system, metalled floors with structural concrete topping, together with precast concrete stairs. Internally the apartments are finished to a high standard with individual kitchenettes and bathrooms.
Extensive communal and day space areas are provided with walnut feature furniture and associated high-end fittings.
The video below showcases Natta’s capabilities and also the high quality that we can deliver as a turnkey design and build Main Contractor. The scheme is visually impressive. We are very pleased to have had the opportunity to be involved.
Matt Sainty, Commercial Director at Natta commented, “This building marks a new level of capability for the Natta Group. We are proud to showcase this to the industry and look forward many further projects of this nature.”
The further video shows the Steel Frame Erection.
