OVERVIEW

This project encompassed the delivery of the housing site groundworks for a 73-unit residential development for Crest Nicholson Regeneration. Natta supported the construction of the new homes as a key phase of the wider regeneration programme.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Natta’s scope of works included the construction of associated roads and sewers, together with the installation of piled foundations up to ground floor level. In addition, the works comprised the formation of drives, street lighting, and landscaping, providing the essential infrastructure and external works to support the residential development.

A particular challenge on the project was the removal of a 45,000m³ heap of soil that had accumulated from the previous four phases of the wider development. This significant bulk earthworks operation had to be carefully planned and executed to avoid disruption to the ongoing construction programme. Alongside this, Natta delivered the installation of a 215-metre-long gabion retaining wall, which formed a critical element of the site’s level management and stability strategy. We carried out these works while maintaining steady progress on the initial housing site groundworks, using a coordinated approach to logistics, sequencing, and site management.

This project showcases Natta’s expertise in delivering complex residential groundworks packages that include significant earthworks and structural retaining solutions within live housing site development settings.
