About the Green Apple Awards

The Green Apple Awards are run by The Green Organisation. They are an independent, non-political, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world. Established in 1994 to recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice around the world. The Green Apple Awards scheme was one of the first to be accredited by the RSA as an official feeder scheme into the European Business Awards.

Aim of the Green Apple Awards

Enhance the competitiveness of organisations. To support the wider goals of sustainable development, including social benefits through community and staff involvement. To help Green Apple Award winners to benefit from their environmental endeavours.

Natta Group’s New Training Facility

Natta building have constructed a new 2 storey 6,000 ft² training and wellbeing centre. The new facility comprises 4 large training rooms, a dedicated canteen, office space, and toilets. The new development embodies Natta’s sustainable construction ethos and values and is a zero carbon building. It has been constructed using structural insulated panels and utilising renewable energy sources and energy efficient products. The building is heated by a 200KW wood chip biomass boiler and also has a 46KW PV array to provide electricity. The double height training rooms are fitted with acoustic baffling to reduce reverberation whilst maintaining the feel of light and space that the rooms will provide for the delegates. As safety is also at the forefront of Natta’s business, the latest wireless technology has been utilised within the build. This will reduce the amount of possibly dangerous surface mounted cabling.
