Natta wins another Green Apple Award

Natta has won a ‘Green Apple Award’ for the ‘Built Environment & Architectural Heritage’ in the international campaign to find the most environmentally friendly buildings in the world.

Green Apple Award 2018

Natta was nominated for the Building and Construction Companies category for Construction Material Recycling. We were presented with the Silver Green Apple Award. This glittering presentation ceremony was held at RADA, London, on Monday, 16 July.

The judges commented, “Natta invested in new screeners and crushers, together with soil stabilisation equipment, plant and machinery. They have been able to recycle 40,000 tonnes of material on site. This led to 4,000 fewer lorry trips at the site and less fuel consumption and carbon emissions.”

As a result of this success, Natta has been invited to have the winning paper published in The Green Book. This is the leading international work of reference on environmental best practice. Others around the world can follow the examples and learn from these experiences.

About the Green Apple Awards

The Green Apple Awards began in 1994 and have become established as the country’s leading body for environmental endeavour among companies, councils, communities and countries.

The awards are organised by The Green Organisation, an independent, non-political, non-activist, non-profit environmental Group dedicated to recognising and promoting environmental best practice.

Judges for the Green Apple Awards are drawn from the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution for Waste Management and other independent bodies.
