Mental Health Awareness Week 2022

This week, Natta are supporting Mental Health Awareness Week 2022. This is a yearly campaign run by the Mental Health Foundation as an opportunity for people to open up about their wellbeing and discover ways to improve it.

The theme of this year’s event is loneliness. A report from the Mental Health Foundation found loneliness to be one of the key indicators of poor mental health and it has become even more prevalent throughout the pandemic. In a more recent study, it was found that loneliness was almost 3 times that of pre-pandemic levels.

With life returning to normal, it is hugely important that the feeling of loneliness is reduced. This could be by reconnecting with our communities or opening up discussions on the topic.

At Natta, we want to ensure that all of our staff are able to share their experiences without facing stigma as we aim to create a safe workspace for everyone. We have also restarted our monthly Staff Socials to bring a greater sense of community to our Head Office team.

Another great way of combatting loneliness, #TeamNatta is excited to be taking part in the Woking & Sam Beare Hospices Dragon Boat Race in May. A perfect team-building experience for our staff to come together and raise much-needed funds for this local charity. You can support the team by donating here!

Get Involved!

This week, the Mental Health Foundation are encouraging people to get involved by sharing their own stories of loneliness. Sharing experiences can help to reduce the stigma and stereotypes surrounding mental health. You can share your story using the hashtags #IveBeenThere and #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek.

Or, use the week as a reason to get in touch with a friend or neighbour. It is a great opportunity to reach out and check in on your loved ones. The Mental Health Foundation will also be sharing podcasts, stories, research and tips throughout the week to help combat loneliness.
