LOVE Award winners for November

Natta is delighted to announce the Love Award (‘Live Our Values Everyday’) winners for November 2018.

The Expertise award went to Michael O’Keeffe. He won for the well-managed changeover works on the live road at Stoneham Park. The team received compliments from the council’s Highways Manager, Chris Hand for a job well done.

The award for Integrity went to Sian Comb and Richard Gaughran. They won for completing an audit at our Deepcut project. This was to check the rights to work and ensuring we are compliant with legal and client recommendations. Richard also showed initiative by identifying potential fake passports and involving HR in reducing business risks.

Piotr Plizga from our Stoneham Park site won the Quality award for producing a great standard of radius kerbing alongside a live road.

The Collaboration award went to Jon Aplin and Martyn Randall. An employee from St. Modwen personally nominated Jon for his enthusiasm, assistance and support when she went down to our Wantage site. She also mentioned how impressed she was with the team there and how friendly and helpful they all were to her! Martyn has been working between gangs ensuring materials are loaded out in advance of requirements.

Head Office Winners

Claire Wolfe won the Safety award. A colleague commented, “She takes it upon herself to keep the gym tidy and safe. She’s been introducing new safety measures, implementing baskets for small loose parts and most importantly a solution to keep the exercise balls to one side, clearing the route to the fire exit.”

Annette Hills also won for showing Quality in the food she is cooking every day. A colleague mentioned, “She has improved the quality of food provided in our canteen along with improved hygiene levels expected by the environmental inspector.”

The Teamwork award went to Emily Scott, Jayne Bound and Prince Antwi. Our ladies in reception Emily and Jayne won for being an excellent first point of call to the Natta Group. We received positive feedback from several of our suppliers about the way the reception is being run. Prince won for working tirelessly alongside Skanska and received great feedback. A staff member of Skanska commented, “I spent an hour+ on the phone to Prince agreeing on actions on the Mindenhurst account. He has absolutely pulled it out of the bag. Total credit to Prince. He has worked really hard and I wanted it to be recognised.”

The award for Sustainability went to Jose Fernandez-Navarrete and Vanessa Pinto. Jose was acknowledged for his efforts in updating the integrated management system. He is creating new processes and forms to reflect and satisfy the requirements of the new ISO 45001. This allows the company to maintain operational functionality and as such provide consistency, improvement and sustainability for the organisation. Vanessa won for helping the business be more sustainable. A colleague commented, “She is always thinking of good ideas: from growing herbs in the Wellness Kitchen Garden to getting employees on board to compost some of their food waste. She is our green goddess!” She has also been nominated for introducing composting bins in the kitchen.
