OVERVIEW

Natta was appointed as a subcontractor by our client, Wates Group. The work involved undertaking the full groundworks package for a new Data Centre development located at Ajax Avenue in Slough. As a result, this scheme forms an important contribution to the region’s expanding digital infrastructure, supporting the continued growth of data-driven industries.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The scope of this fast-track package included earthworks, substructures, drainage and external works. Furthermore, the project was split into three distinct data halls, which required us to work closely with preceding and following trades to ensure seamless integration.

A large amount of the work involved service trenching and ducting, which had a considerable impact on overall site logistics and interfaces with drainage and external works. As well as this, the foundations on site were deep and had large mass concrete bases that required considerable care in construction. The team delivered these works promptly and to the programme.

Overall, this project highlights Natta’s specialist capabilities in delivering technically complex, high-quality groundwork projects within demanding timeframes. The completed data centre development enables plenty of space for business growth and transformation initiatives. Additionally, the data centre demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability, operating on renewable energy and running carbon-free.
