OVERVIEW

As the main contractor, we were appointed by Wates Group to undertake the groundworks and infrastructure package for a new build school in Hayes. This project formed part of the wider education development programme and required the delivery of high-quality infrastructure to support the construction of modern teaching facilities.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The scope of works features the main groundworks and a storm sewer diversion, forming a critical element of the site’s drainage and infrastructure strategy. These works included bulk excavation and disposal, as well as the installation of extensive attenuation tanks and ponds to manage surface water effectively and ensure long-term drainage resilience. In addition, the scheme incorporated foul drainage, pump stations, and associated services, all carefully coordinated to integrate with the wider site layout and building regulations.

The groundworks package also included the installation of piling mats, ground beams, pile caps, and reinforced concrete ground floor slabs, providing the structural foundations required to support the new school building.

External works formed a further key component of the Harlington School contract, which comprised tarmac surfacing, paving slabs, and block-pounded finishes. These elements subsequently provided durable, safe, and cohesive external areas suitable for daily use by students, staff and visitors.

Overall, this project demonstrates Natta’s capability in delivering complex groundworks and infrastructure packages for educational developments. Building on our success at Burnham Grammar School, the work at Harlington School further highlights our commitment to quality, safety, and reliable delivery in partnership with Wates Group.
