National Apprenticeship Week 2026

National Apprenticeship Week celebrates the value apprenticeships bring to individuals, businesses, and the wider construction industry. At Natta, we are proud to play our part by creating opportunities that help people develop their careers while strengthening the future of our workforce.

We are committed to developing the next generation of construction professionals, with a target for 5% of our workforce to come through apprenticeships and trainee schemes. By working closely with local further education colleges, we support new talent, ensuring apprentices receive high-quality training alongside real-world experience. This approach not only supports the development of our apprentices but also strengthens our organisation by bringing in fresh perspectives, enthusiasm, and innovation.

We are proud to offer various opportunities both on-site and at our head office. These cover job roles such as Civil Engineering, Technical Design, Electricians, Plant Mechanics, Carpenters, Business Admin and Site Operatives.

TrAC and their FutureIn Programme

Natta is proud to be working with TrAC, an award-winning not-for-profit apprenticeship agency. They operate across 12 counties and are now in their 13th year. They support apprenticeships at all levels and across sectors, including construction, helping businesses meet employment targets and social value goals. Through their Flexi-Job Apprenticeship scheme, TrAC employs apprentices directly and places them with businesses in flexible placements. These can range from six-month assignments to full programme durations. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to supporting the development of future talent within the industry.

TrAC is also the delivery partner for FutureIN, a Cambridgeshire-focused initiative. They provide apprenticeships and employment pathways in construction for individuals who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, vulnerable, or facing other barriers. Through this programme, Natta has welcomed two Groundworker apprentices, Jayce and Jay, to our St Neots project for Urban & Civic, where they have been part of the team for the past four months.

Jayce and Jay are excellent examples of how apprenticeships and trainee programmes can open doors, offering individuals the opportunity to build stable and rewarding careers. This scheme also supports local authorities in creating employment opportunities for residents, aligning closely with Natta’s social value commitment.
