At Natta, health & safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value. Our philosophy of “Safety First – People First” underpins every decision we make, ensuring that every colleague, subcontractor, and visitor goes home safe, every day.

We take pride in our exceptional safety record. Up to June 2023, Natta achieved over 6.2 million RIDDOR accident-free man-hours. This is a proud testament to our proactive culture of prevention, care, and accountability.

Our safety management systems are accredited to the highest industry standards, including Achilles, CHAS, CHSG, and SMAS Worksafe. Every site manager holds SMSTS or SSSTS certification, and all site-based employees complete a Behavioural Safety Induction. This commitment to continuous learning is supported by our training matrix, which ensures that every employee receives regular training in First Aid, Mental Health, and Leadership.

Our award-winning Construction Industry Safety Training Centre (CISTC),  based at our zero-carbon Head Office complex, provides accredited courses that upskill both our workforce and the wider industry. Through CISTC, we deliver nationally recognised qualifications and bespoke safety programmes designed to set a benchmark for excellence.

Natta’s health & safety culture is built on collaboration and improvement. Regular audits, near-miss reporting, and open communication ensure that lessons learned translate into real-world change.

Our Health, Safety and Welfare Policy outlines the standards we uphold across all operations. The Director responsible for its implementation is Managing Director John E. Whelan, demonstrating board-level leadership and accountability for safety performance.
