Natta Building has been awarded the North Horsham Primary Access Works by Legal & General Strategic Land.
Appointed as the main contractor, Natta’s works include extensive adoptable 278 roundabout works and junction improvements to Rusper Road and the A264 junction that will provide the main infrastructure corridor into the North Horsham development.
The development has planning consent to provide 2,750 new homes in a range of sizes and tenures, including affordable housing and 500,000 sq ft of commercial space. It includes an education campus for Bohunt Horsham School and a new sports hub. New pedestrian, cycle and road connections plus extensive green space and landscaping complete the scheme. The site will support the creation of around 4,000 jobs, four new schools and associated local infrastructure.
North Horsham is another high-profile project where we can play our part in delivering sustainable communities, utilising our expertise to expedite works whilst maintaining a quality product. Natta is due to commence works from 10th August.
Illustrative Masterplan for North Horsham
Matt Sainty, Commercial Director, Natta commented: “This large scale infrastructure contract builds on our existing relationship with Legal and General as a trusted supply chain partner. Our Commercial, Production and Technical teams have all worked incredibly hard to get this over the line and are proud to have been awarded North Horsham. Natta’s long history within our civil engineering division of delivering fast-track, large scale infrastructure works makes us the perfect partner for Legal & General. May this be a long and happy relationship for years to come.”
Legal & General in Housing
Legal & General has been involved in supply-side housing activities for nearly 20 years. These include bringing housing back to the centre of the UK’s cities through large scale regeneration. Legal & General’s housebuilding divisions CALA Homes and Legal & General Homes, are bringing forward a rapidly expanding housing pipeline. CALA Homes is on track to deliver an annual capacity of 2,500 units and revenue of around £1bn in 2020. Legal & General Homes are delivering their first three new housing communities including 1,500 new homes at its 272-acre site in Finchampstead, where Natta are undertaking the infrastructure and groundworks. Revolutionising the construction industry through its modular housing factory in Leeds, Legal & General Modular Homes will deliver highly-sustainable precision-engineered homes. Legal & General is the first provider of modular homes to be constructed in a factory on a moving assembly line. The modular product is delivered to site as a complete unit, with the electrical, plumbing, wiring, kitchens and bathrooms all in place. With groundworks completed in advance, at site level it requires only cladding and roofing.
