In recognition of their hard work and service to Natta, congratulations to the following.- Dominic Davison has been promoted from Engineer to Senior Engineer. Jayne Bound moved from Cook to Receptionist Natta’s very own version of ‘The Biggest Loser’ was introduced by the HR Department as part of the Wellness Strategy of the Company. Since 24th September over 13 weeks, 28 staff members across Head Office, CISTC, Plant and Site took part in a health conscious exercise to lose weight and gain physical and mental wellbeing. The nation’s growing waistbands currently has 67% of men and 56% of women overweight or obese. This is because they work long hours, feel stressed and are immobile for most of the day. This results in rewarding themselves with junk food and drink. Moving forward from the Natta Wellness Day, Head Office staff’s independent health checks and the Site ‘Know your Numbers’ this competition has given staff an opportunity to work towards better wellbeing. Staff have taken to the gym, exercised regularly and restricted certain types of junk food or food types and alcohol. Overall competitors lost a total of 25% weight loss collectively and a total of 60 inches!! Losing weight not only empowers people, it show a positive physical and mental change in thinking patterns. It also helps people to feel better, improve their self-esteem, body image and quality of life – something we all should be striving for. Watch out for the 2019 edition of ‘Body Beach – The Biggest Loser’ starting in the Summer.
