The award for Integrity went to Sian Comb and Richard Gaughran. They won for completing an audit at our Deepcut project. This was to check the rights to work and ensuring we are compliant with legal and client recommendations. Richard also showed initiative by identifying potential fake passports and involving HR in reducing business risks. Piotr Plizga from our Stoneham Park site won the Quality award for producing a great standard of radius kerbing alongside a live road. The Collaboration award went to Jon Aplin and Martyn Randall. An employee from St. Modwen personally nominated Jon for his enthusiasm, assistance and support when she went down to our Wantage site. She also mentioned how impressed she was with the team there and how friendly and helpful they all were to her! Martyn has been working between gangs ensuring materials are loaded out in advance of requirements. Head Office Winners Claire Wolfe won the Safety award. A colleague commented, “She takes it upon herself to keep the gym tidy and safe. She’s been introducing new safety measures, implementing baskets for small loose parts and most importantly a solution to keep the exercise balls to one side, clearing the route to the fire exit.” Annette Hills won for showing Quality in the food she is cooking every day. A colleague mentioned, “She has improved the quality of food provided in our canteen along with improved hygiene levels expected by the environmental inspector.” The Teamwork award went to Emily Scott, Jayne Bound and Prince Antwi. Our ladies in reception Emily and Jayne won for being an excellent first point of call to the Natta Group. We received positive feedback from several of our suppliers about the way the reception is being run. Prince won for working tirelessly alongside Skanska and received great feedback. A staff member of Skanska commented, “I spent an hour+ on the phone to Prince agreeing on actions on the Mindenhurst account. He has absolutely pulled it out of the bag. Total credit to Prince. He has worked really hard and I wanted it to be recognised.” The award for Sustainability went to Jose Fernandez-Navarrete and Vanessa Pinto. Jose was acknowledged for his efforts in updating the integrated management system. He is creating new processes and forms to reflect and satisfy the requirements of the new ISO 45001. This allows the company to maintain operational functionality and as such provide consistency, improvement and sustainability for the organisation. Vanessa won for helping the business be more sustainable. A colleague commented, “She is always thinking of good ideas: from growing herbs in the Wellness Kitchen Garden to getting employees on board to compost some of their food waste. She is our green goddess!” She has also been nominated for introducing composting bins in the kitchen. December LOVE Award Winners The award for Expertise went to Carlos Sanchez and Ashley Bartlett. Carlos, who is based at our site in Basildon won for creating a set of drawings that show air brick locations for each house type. By undertaking this step, his work will avoid airbricks being incorrectly located around plots. This will also avoid an insufficient number being installed. A very simple but effective improvement. Ashley took it upon himself to undergo the Transport Manager CPC Course to further develop his knowledge. A colleague commented, “Ashley continued to do his day job to a very high standard he spent a lot of time studying on his lunch break and in the evening.” Once Ashley’s pass is confirmed in January, his expertise will be a great asset to the Natta Group." Vanessa Pinto from our HR Department won the award for Integrity. She has decided to run Natta’s very own version of the ‘Biggest Loser’ competition. Vanessa has continued to look out for the wellbeing of employees and is extremely caring about the health of our workforce. She is always a motivational influence, who encourages staff to be more active, lead a healthy lifestyle and lose weight. The Quality award went to Carika Behounek from our Marketing Department for the design of this year's Christmas card. Jo Whelan mentioned, “Carika brought my brief to life, she hand drew the card and got an animation created for it. Our best Natta Christmas card yet!” The award for Innovation went to Iona Huckle. She thought of the idea to start utilising a comparison delivery website for posting larger items. This is especially, helpful around Christmas time. By following this new procedure, Natta will ensure we will always be using the most cost-effective way of sending post. The Teamwork award went to Sue Hardy. A colleague commented, “Sue’s contribution to Christmas at Natta over the last few years has been fantastic. She has given her time, creating amazing hampers and organising a festive raffle.” Jose Fernandez-Navarrete was acknowledged for his help within his team and won the award for Collaboration. A colleague mentioned, “Jose is always willing to help me out.
