The LOVE (Live Our Values Everyday) Awards is just one of the ways that Natta acknowledges and rewards our staff for their on- going commitment to following Natta’s core values: Safety, Expertise, Integrity, Quality, Innovation, Teamwork, Collaboration and Sustainability. Here are the list of winners from September to December and some of the photos that were taken. You can see all of the photos on our blog posts. September LOVE Award Winners The Safety award went to Darren Simmonds and Jamie Lewis from our Stoneham Park site. Darren won for working in a safe and efficient manner below electrical and BT cables and around a 33” water mains. Jamie, our Document Controller, also won for assisting a lorry driver leaving an adjacent site who had a heart attack. Jamie applied first aid procedures until the ambulance arrived. A colleague commented, “Jamie was thanked by the ambulance staff.” The dedication to Expertise went to Paul Gower, Mike O’Keeffe and Avni Dauti. Paul took the award for the smooth operation of laying tarmac to remote areas of the site. Mike won for his expertise to help save Natta time and money. He followed instructions to commence the work to remediate the drainage under a roundabout at our Daedalus site. Avni mastered the Trimble GPS Earthworks System in just a few days and produced great results. As a personal challenge, he worked with the new technology and learned how to set up the whole system. Guy Constable from our Wantage project was awarded for showing Integrity. He has a great work ethic towards his role. He is always in a good mood which reflects positively on others. The Quality award went to Daniel Sharp. On Tuesday 25th September Daniel attended an award ceremony hosted by our client, Berkeley Homes – Southern, at our Winchester site. He was nominated and shortlisted for an award in the ‘Best Support Service’ category. A colleague commented, “Unfortunately, he lost out, he did, however, get a mention from the judges and a round of applause from the audience in the auditorium.” The award for Innovation went to Kevin Fishwick for using a new innovative method to patch up a cracked pipe which had high-pressure groundwater coming through it. Mariusz Cholewski won for showing Teamwork by adapting to work in any gang, any location and undertaking any task. The Collaboration award went to Albert Memia from our Burgess Hill project and Andreea Guriuc from our Copthorne project. They both won for rounding up all the site operatives to participate in the Wellness Week Competitions. From our Head Office, Charlotte Hamer won the Sustainability award. Charlotte has been encouraging members of the office to sign up to ‘Web-expenses’ so that we can reduce paper usage by claiming expenses/miles online rather than by paper. She’s also been offering a quick tutorial to anyone who needs help navigating the website to get to grips with it. October LOVE Award Winners The award for Innovation went to Darren Denton for his time-saving idea when loading plant. His idea is to use the ramps of his new lorry to bridge the gap between the rear of the lorry and the front of the trailer. The Collaboration award went to Kevin Matthews and Cosmin Corman. Kevin is maximising the efficiency of the concrete gang by managing their workload across sites. Cosmin won for helping with a few design issues and to set up the Trimble System for an urgent job in Milton Keynes. Georgiana Mosanu and Barry Singh took the Quality award. Georgiana completed the final stages to the required standards at our Hackbridge site. Barry at our Barnet site won for his willingness to learn and supervising more than 650 lorries without any mistakes. The award for Expertise went to Paul Berry, Graham Wood, Matt Garside and Ben Gamroth. Paul at our Head Office won for improving our car parks’ landscape with rockeries. Graham and Matt won for their quality work during the remediation of the 1200 diameter storm pipe at Daedalus. A colleague commented, “Very good workmanship from the whole team.” Ben from our Arborfield site was called to excavate a foul main through finished work that was missed in error which he fixed without incidents. For Teamwork the award went to Carika Behounek and Kyle Bassett. Carika helped a new employee to the Marketing Department ease into her role. Kyle from our Arborfield site stepped up and took over parcel U2 whilst the lead engineers were on holiday. Willy Stevenson, Andreea Guriuc, Evangelos Pastras and Lil Buckle showed dedication to Sustainability. Willy, Andreea and Evangelos won for getting a score of 40 from the Considerate Constructors Scheme for our Copthorne site. Lil from our Plant Department won for reducing paper use on the plant returns. November LOVE Award Winners The Expertise award went to Michael O’Keeffe.
