Natta’s Love Award Winners for February

Natta is delighted to announce the LOVE Award (‘Live Our Values Everyday’) Winners for February 2020.

The award for Safety went to Aurel Mihut, Pertu Leculescu and Michael Jones.

Aurel is based at our Copthorne site and has tirelessly been working on the utilities connections to make sure that deadlines are hit and cables are not. Petru and Michael are both working on our project in Uxbridge where Petru has maintained and improved the safety culture in the numerous work zones around site. Speaking about Michael, a colleague has said, “Michael is our go-to guy for hand digging around services. There is no excavation too big and his work is always completed safely and with a smile.”

Kevin Barrington, Cristian Rotatu and Gheorghe Galateanu took the award for Expertise. A colleague commented, “The team had to excavate and install drainage under a CLH pipeline supplying fuel for Heathrow and a few other airbases. The works were planned to last 8 days and the team managed to complete them in 5 days. Upon completion, the CLH Inspector said they were the best drainage gang he ever supervised.”

The Integrity award went to Katarzyna Krysiuk who, despite having to split her time between two sites, has maintained her discipline and assisted in achieving completion of works and contributed significantly to the improved safety audit scores on site at Barnet.

Our Quality award went to Gzim Domi and Phool Singh who are working on site in Arborfield. A colleague commented, “This gang of two have been working over the last two weeks to correct drainage under completed houses and through finished works. Not only have they successfully closed out the issues, but have also reinstated the finished works to high standards to hand back over to the client in good time.”

George Lordache also won the Quality award for consistently turning out work of exceptional quality and assisting others in improving their standards of workmanship.

Jo Whelan, Florin Cucuiet and Stuart Shuttleworth took the award for Teamwork.

Jo was nominated for all of the hard work she has put in for the CN Specialist Awards, we are shortlisted as a finalist in three. Whilst Florin took a fellow worker who was having problems into his gang, significantly improving the worker’s attitude. Meanwhile, Stuart received some fantastic feedback from a course that he delivered: “Probably the best course I have had in a while. Above and beyond what I expected and good knowledge from our trainer. I would definitely recommend Stuart for future courses like this.”

The Teamwork award was also given to Ashley Bartlett and Magnus Alestrand for their help saving a listed barn. Their colleague said, Ashley managed to find a company who could deliver acro props within a couple of hours which meant we were able to support a beam that had fallen due to the stormy weather. Magnus assisted me on site with propping the beam up and then installing the acro props safely and swiftly. Without their help, the roof of the barn was at risk of more damage with high winds forecasted for the next few days.”

The Collaboration award went to Iona Huckle who regularly goes out of her way to help her colleagues during busy periods.
