Mowbray Sports Hub, North Horsham

OVERVIEW

Natta has been appointed by Legal & General as the main contractor for the new Mowbray Sports Hub at North Horsham, West Sussex. The project forms part of the wider Mowbray development, a major new community comprising approximately 2,750 homes in line with current planning approval. The Sports Hub will provide a high-quality sporting and recreational destination for residents, local clubs and the wider community. Building on our successful delivery of infrastructure projects across the North Horsham development, Natta is delivering the civil engineering, infrastructure and building works required to create this important community asset.

SCOPE OF WORKS 

The project comprises the construction of a new multi-use sports facility, including a 500m² pavilion, natural turf cricket pitch, two football pitches and a floodlit 3G artificial pitch. Additional facilities include two spectator stands, an external toilet block, two Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGAs), a skate park and a BMX track.

Works commence with approximately 20,000m³ of bulk earthworks to create the development platform and prepare the site for construction. Natta is also delivering the associated infrastructure, including a new access road, car park, hard landscaped areas, utility services and drainage networks, ensuring the Sports Hub is fully integrated into the wider Mowbray development.

Once complete, the facility will provide a modern, accessible and sustainable sporting environment that supports active lifestyles and creates lasting benefits for the growing North Horsham community.
