Residential Development, Coldharbour Lane

Project Facts
Sector: Basements
Our Role: Sub Contractor
Location: Coldharbour Lane, Brixton
Client: Skanska
Project Value: £1.4 m
Duration:18 months
Our works to this project included a double large scale waterproof basement on a previously contaminated site along with all external works for a new Residential development in Brixton.
Scope of Works:

The 9 story developments at Brixton each had a waterproof reinforced concrete basement, formed with single sided shuttering against a contiguous pile wall. Construction involved a large muck shift on a cramped London site, with low level drainage raised with pumping chambers to the gravity mains. Natta have installed two 6m deep pumping chambers and a large harvesting tank, along with all high level drainage and services. We offered our Client significant savings with design improvements on the drainage scheme and with alternative high quality products in the finishing scheme and we have adapted to all Client variations without issue and completed works in the required timescale at all times.

Our works included building the reinforced concrete waterproof basements, deep GRP rainwater harvesting and pumping chambers including associated temporary works. Natta undertook all the ancillary blockwork buildings and additional RC slabs and extensive permeable block paving in varying colours and type. Areas were landscaped and included Breedon gravel paths and installation of street furniture.

"A difficult inner city site that was to be statement site for our Client. The high standard of our work was complemented by their main Board"
